Telangana Agitation :
Telangana was a princely state of Nizam Ruler, it was freed from Nizam rule on Sept 1948 i.e. a year after India Independence. In the year - 1953, based on the recommendation of the States Reorganisation Commission, Telugu-speaking areas were separated from the former Madras States to form Andhra, India's first state established along linguistic lines, But same comission failed to form the different state for Telangana region, instead formed Andhra Pradesh for all telugu speaking people. Merging the Telangana with the rest of telugu speaking regions was not un-conditional merge, it was conditional merge. People from Telangana feared that they might not get fair deal in developing thier region as its got full of resources but it was not developed because Puedal regim. Govt of India gave so many assurances for speeder development of Telangana region.
Those are like : Conditions like 1) Revenue generated in the Telangana region will be used to this region only.2) Educational facilities available and Employment opportunities in the region will be reserved for local candidates those are hailed from Telangana region. That Mulki Rule.3) Agricultural lands of Telangana region can not be purchased by people are coming from out side of the region. 4) If cheif minister hails from Andhra (Rayalaseema) then deputy cheif minister from Telangana and vice versa.
First chief minister was Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy, deputy chief minister from andhra state, it didn't appionted deputy chief minister. Reason given was by him and agreed upon by Telangana gentlemen and said postion of deputy chief minister was like six figer of the hand. This was voilation of assurance given on first day of formation of state. Revenue generated in the area transfered to development of others area. Sits reserved to local candidates are given to other region.. and employment opportunuties also given to other area people by getting false certificates.
Telangana people woken in 1969 and revolution started and demanding separate state because of voilation of assurances were given.Prime Minister that time, formulated 8 point formula,foisted to give more safegaurds to telangana region. Then reaction from andhra,saying don't want live in andhra pradesh with all conditions, and started Jai Andhra movement started in 1972, that time 72% of andhra people, 69% telangana people voted for separate state for andhra and Telangana. After this another formula came into pictures -There is a big loss of TelanganaScrapping of mulki rules,Regional committer, practice of showing the statement of account income and expenditire region.Then AP divided into 7 region, seprating hyderbad as region.
